The Weekend Blog | We’re off to…
4th June 2016
I kind of mentioned this in my latest monthly review post but I finally booked a summer holiday for Tyrone and I this week.
We’re off to Lanzarote!
I did my classic trick of booking a holiday just a few weeks before we go and as a result I managed to pick up a good deal. We’re going all inclusive again, just like we did on the cruise last year, because we love a good drink, and we’re also staying in an adults only hotel that, according to TripAdvisor, is full of people over the age of 50.
Perfect for Tyrone and I! Old at heart.
I’m looking forward to having some time to relax. As much as I loved going on the cruise last year, I found it very hectic with the excursions and we often had to get up really early to go on them. We plan on exploring the island but at a slow pace with plenty of time to rest in between.
If anyone has any recommendations of things to do in Lanzarote, or any blog posts to share then please leave them in the comments. I like looking at rocks and all that sort of geology stuff so I’ll be in my element on an island of volcanic origins.
I also booked something else this week; my driving test! Because my driving instructor is on holiday for two weeks and then I’m on holiday for a week I’ve got nearly a whole month without a lesson, so I decided to book my test for September. I should be ready by then.
I plan on spending a bit of time in my garden (top picture is a sneak peak of the progress) this rest of this weekend as the weather is glorious. And then I’m really looking forward to next week as Georgie is coming to visit. Eeek! There will definitely be a blog post to follow!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
