The Weekend Blog (Vol.72)
12th September 2015

Although summer isn’t over just yet (autumn starts September 23rd, apparently), the summer break is over for me. On Monday I start my new job. My first ever full-time job.
I’m excited, but naturally I’m nervous. I’m hoping that I can have a relaxing weekend before I join the working world. I’ve certainly had chilled week.
The highlight of my week was Thursday when my friend Becky came up to visit. I’d been wanting to try a Mexican restaurant called Lucha Libre for while so we decided to go there for lunch.
I can’t recommend Lucha Libre enough! If you are in Liverpool and like Mexican food then you must make a stop there. Becky and I shared a Street Food Tray which is a perfect way to try out a variety of dishes on their menu.
After a spot of shopping we headed back to my flat for afternoon tea. It felt so good to have a proper catch-up.
Have a great weekend!
Eeep! Good luck! I’m sure you’ll kill it! ๐ Sudden craving for fried chicken. I blame you. Haha.
Thank you!
Good luck on your new job, I hope you’ll like it a lot x
Thank you! I’m hoping I like it too.
Good luck with your new job and hope you’ll enjoy it! I’m sure you’ll be fine in the work force, especially with being a web developer. Lucha Libra looks delicious! Glad you liked the place ๐
Thank you!
It certainly was. I can’t wait to go back sometime.
Yum, I love street food, and all of that looks good. I’m glad you guys enjoyed the restaurant! I also hope your first day goes well tomorrow! Good luck!
Thank you!
First days are the worst. I always panic about little things that aren’t important. Hope it goes well – sure you’ll do great.
Wow the food looks amazing. Hope you had a lovely time!
Xxx
Thank you! I’m still super nervous but I’m settling slowly. It’s my first time working in an office, so it’s all so new to me.
Ooooh I bet you’re excited to start your job! I still have to wait until 5th Oct to start mine- eeeep! Although I am still working on my thesis. I’m so jealous of your yummy food at Luche, sadly they closed their Manchester branch ๐ I shall have to remember they are in Liverpool for my next visit!
I had no idea that they use to have a Lucha in Manchester. I thought Liverpool was the only one.
At least you’ve nearly finished your thesis. I hope you enjoy your new job!
[…] already mentioned LEAF, Nolita Cantina and Lucha Libre before on the blog, but today I’m going share with you my my favourite pizza takeaway; […]
I hope everything goes well at work, Holly! All my best wishes to you. Just donโt get overwhelmed and take the time to sit back and appreciate anything you learn. ๐ I am sure they will make you feel very welcome.
Itโs good to have a catch up every now and then with your friends. I certainly havenโt done that in a while, weโre all too busy. ๐ ๐
Thank you! It’s pretty relaxed at the moment as we haven’t had any training yet so we can’t work on any of the projects. But really I can’t wait to get into the swing of things and help out with the websites the team are working on.
