Holly Pryce in Monaco

I’m back!

First of all I’d like to thank you all for sticking around. I hope you enjoyed the posts that I scheduled for you, because I enjoyed reading all of your comments on the way home from my trip.

I decided to go without internet for the week in order to make my life as stress free as possible, and it worked. It just means that I’ve had a lot of catching up to do over the last few days.

Our Mediterranean cruise was incredible. I haven’t been so relaxed in a very long time. I spent a lot of time just looking out on the horizon without worrying about unemployment and it was incredible. And when I wasn’t looking out to sea I was wondering around a city with a map in my hand, doing what I love most – exploring!

Oh, and the food. My god, the food. We ate so much because food was available 24 hours on the ship. Our cruise was also all inclusive for drink too, so the cocktails were flowing well. Obviously I now have a serious case of post-holiday depression.

I have a lot of posts coming up over the next few weeks with lots of pictures. I took over 800 in total, so I’m currently sorting through them all and editing them. So expect posts on cruise life, Monaco, Florence, Pisa, Rome, Corsica and Palamos.

Normal posting will resume on Tuesday. I’m also aiming to have a new theme up by the end of next week.

Have a great weekend!

Enjoyed this post? Why not share it...

  1. Welcome home! It sounds like your trip was super lovely. 24 hours of good food? Constant cocktails? Beautiful scenery and relaxation? I don’t blame you for suffering from the post-holiday blues!

I look forward to you sharing your trip adventures and your new theme! Eee! ^^

  2. The cruise sounds amazing, food, drinks, exploring new cities and the sea. I can’t wait for the pictures xx

At first I thought I wouldn’t cope with internet, but once I got into it I forgot all about checking my emails and keeping up with social media. I’d love to go internet free again some time in the future.

  4. Gillan

Goals. Goals. Goals. How I envy you!
But I’m happy you got the time off and got to disconnect from the busy online world πŸ™‚
I’m so looking forward to seeing your photos and new layout πŸ™‚

  5. Welcome Back, Holly!
    800 photos! That’s huge!
I wanna read all about your cruise especially about Florence and Pisa. Are you gonna break down the post into several posts, like you did for New York?
Please do it that way! πŸ˜€

    • Holly

Yep, it’s a lot to sort through!

Yes! I’m going to do a post for each day we went ashore. I’m so glad you like the way I did the New York posts. It’s great to have feedback on things like that. πŸ˜€

  6. Kendel

I can’t wait to see the photos! I think I need to take a leaf out of your book and disconnect for a day or two!

  7. Welcome home! It looks like you had an amazing time, I can’t wait to read all your posts. The constant flow of cocktails sounds fantastic – I had to cancel my holiday because of work so I think I’ll take a leaf out of your book and go on a cruise! I’m especially looking forward to reading about Monaco!

    • Holly

Do it! I highly recommend the Thomson cruises. We booked ours really late (2 weeks before we went) and got a bargain. Half the normal price!

I’m sorry to hear you had to cancel your holiday because of work. But more work means more money, and that means more holidays. πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜›

  8. Welcome back from your trip! Hope you enjoyed it! Sometimes, we just need time away from the internet to enjoy everything we can about “life” outside of it. And it’s great to sight see without worrying about who’s tweeting what and the likes. Have fun sorting through the pictures!

Thank you! You are so right! I can often get sucked into the negative aspects of social media that make me feel low. It was so great to get away!

  9. Cat

Welcome back! That sounds so nice to just relax, watch the sea, and eat a bunch of food πŸ™‚ Sounds like my kind of trip! I’m glad you had a great time. I’m looking forward to your posts about the places you visited!

  10. Welcome back!!! Sounds like an internet detox is just what you needed πŸ™‚ Can’t wait to see your holiday pics x
