Vinyl records in frames

Two weeks ago I shared that Tyrone and I were planning on moving to a house in order to get away from our noisy neighbours.

Two weeks on and I am overjoyed to say that we have been accepted to rent a house over on the Wirral!

It is the house we were suppose to see inside of last week but couldn’t because the tenant never showed up to the viewing. However, this week, we finally got inside and we loved what we saw. We made an application on Tuesday and yesterday we found out that the landlord has accepted us.

Yesterday we went over the river to pay for the application process. There’s a small hiccup in that Tyrone is on a fixed contract at work, and we didn’t know that this would affect the application process, but we hope to get that ironed out tomorrow (nothing is every straight forward for us!).

I’m excited, but I don’t think I will believe that this move is actually happening until we are in the house unpacking the boxes of our stuff. It’s going to be a stressful time for both Tyrone and I, so you’ll understand if I’m less active on the blog. Although once we are in I’m sure I’ll have lots of room tours and DIY projects to share with you (including a gallery wall I have planned for the vinyls in the photo above). Yay for new blogging topics!

I’m still going to class myself as a Liverpool blogger as even though I’ll be on the other side of the Mersey. I’ll be just a short train journey away from the city center and I’ll be commuting there everyday for work. When the time comes to buy my own home I’ll probably buy one back on the Liverpool side of the river because, well, I love Liverpool too much!

Have a great weekend!

Enjoyed this post? Why not share it...

    Congratulations on being accepted!

I hope everything else goes smoothly and that you and Tyrone are able to settle in soon. I look forward to seeing how you make your new place feel like home. =)

Living just outside the city myself, I’m probably a bit biased, but I believe that getting away from noisy neighbours and into a spacious house is worth the daily commute back into the city. Especially if you’re taking the train or something, you could listen to a podcast, audiobook or read a book to make the most of your time. You’ll probably get that itch to buy yourself a car for convenience but that will just open up more opportunities for you two~!

    Best of luck with everything!

Congratulations! That’s so exciting that you found a place you liked and were also accepted for it 😀 That was fast! When do you move in?

Good luck with packing and moving! I can’t wait to see what the new place looks like!

  3. Congratulations Holly! I am happy for both of you! You’ll definitely have to share some photos of the house. I’m super proud of you guys.

I would still say you live in Liverpool. 🙂 I live way out of the actual ‘centre’ of Sydney, so much so that I’m really in Western Sydney, but I am definitely still in what we call Sydney. Maybe it depends on how dispersed the population is away from the centre of a city, but oh well. 😀

  4. I hope you’ll have a good time in your new house. Moving away might be difficult at first but it will be all fine. 🙂

That’s great news! We’ve been looking for about a month now but still haven’t found anything. There aren’t many houses to let near where we are though – they’re mainly to buy.

Good luck with the move. Those vinyls will look so cool! It’s bound to be way better than where you are now.

That’s exciting! I’m so happy for you. I don’t think it would click until I’m actually moving in either. Lol

  7. Congratulations!!! I’m sure it will be fine with the contract. xx
