The Weekend Blog | A hectic week

It’s been one of those hectic weeks where my to-do list has been colossal and my stress levels have been through the roof. But I’ve made it to the weekend so I’ll give myself a pat on the back.

I came back to Liverpool on Monday after the Easter break and was delighted to finally see my new sofa. It’s exactly what I wanted and I’m so happy with it. I promise to share some photos of my home very soon.

Then on Tuesday it was back to work after the long weekend. We went to see Batman V Superman at the cinema after work and I enjoyed it, surprisingly. The reviews aren’t great but I think they are a bit harsh. Obviously it’s nowhere near as good as the Nolan Batman trilogy but still, not bad.

Work has been really good this week. At the end of last year the company I work for merged with another company, and on Wednesday I was asked if I would like to go to their office in Hertfordshire for a week this month to learn how their system works. I leaped at the chance because a) as a junior developer I feel like I should take every opportunity I can get and b) I will do anything for a free trip; even work!

On Friday it was our staff night out and it was my team’s turn to organise it. We started by playing crazy golf at Jungle Rumble in Liverpool One. I won in my team! We then finished the night at Jamie’s Italian for a meal. It was a great night out and I felt like I really needed it after a super busy week.

Yesterday I popped over to Manchester for an event with Jet2Holidays. I’ll be sharing all about the event in Thursday’s blog post, but it was so lovely to catch up with Anca and Emma.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Enjoyed this post? Why not share it...

Love the picture. A free trip and experience at work sounds great, I’m glad you took the opportunity!
I’ve been putting off watching batman v superman, but maybe I should give it a chance.

I wish I’d taken a better photo when the drink was in the glasses! Would have made sense, haha!

It’s honestly not as bad as people say it is. It’s worth watching but it’s not a film I’m desperate to see again any time soon.

  2. It was lovely to see you. I’m so glad we were able to catch up. xx

  3. It was great to see you- so glad you’ve got that sofa now πŸ™‚ See you again soon I hope (if not you’ll have to come to my leaving do… when that happens….)
