The Sunday Blog

25th May 2014

Happy Sunday!

I’ve had a really good week this week. It started with a physiotherapy appointment on Monday which has led to a hospital referral in June. Hopefully this will be the start of my road to recovery. I’ve been keeping up with the exercises the physiotherapist gave me, and although my hip has been quite swollen I’m sure it’s getting better. I’m also taking pain killers when ever I go out walking which is really helping. However, I have purchased some crutches off Amazon. The physiotherapist recommend I get some. I’m planning on taking one with me to Italy, just in case I have any issues. I don’t want to miss out on any opportunities during our holiday.

Tyrone and I go to Italy next Friday. I’m busy sorting everything out and packing ready to go. Unfortunately the weather forecast isn’t looking so great but according to my mum the weather can change quite quickly in Italy. My parents are currently cruising around the Mediterranean and have been to Rome and Naples this week. I am completely jealous because they’ve been to Pompeii. I’ve been studying Vesuvius a lot this year so I’d love to visit and see it for myself some day.

On Wednesday my library card arrived. I’d ordered one online so that I could make use of Central Library in Liverpool. Honestly, it’s the most amazing library I have ever been in, and there are lots of text books relevant to my degree that just aren’t in the university libraries. The best part of the library is the roof top terrace. It has the most amazing views of the city, and when the sun is out it’s a real sun trap.

Sorry for the phone quality pictures, but just look at this view!

After visiting the library we sat in the park for a while. Selfie alert! We have to make the most of the nice weather as it can soon change. The rest of the week was wet and miserable.

I also moved hosts this week. Everything is finally sorted. Well, it certainly seems like it. It was such a stressful process so I’m hoping that I can stay with NameCheap for a long time. I don’t want to move again because it’s too stressful!

My friend Sharon, who I lived with in my first year of uni, came back to visit this weekend (she’s home for summer). I met up with her yesterday for a browse around the World Museum and lunch at the pub afterwards. We were going to visit The Cavern Club but my hip was playing up and I’d had a drink (strawberry beer!) so I couldn’t take any pain killers. It was also raining quite heavily.

Enjoyed this post? Why not share it...

  1. That’s good that you’ll be on the road to recovery soon enough. And have a great time in Italy! Wow, that’s pretty amazing!

    Beautiful photos~

Get well soon! Stay safe and healthy. You should really rest first before doing anything that might put you in pain. But hopefully that doesn’t affect your trip.

Speaking of which, have fun in Italy!

Thank you. πŸ™‚ I’ve spend quite a few weeks resting so I’m desperate to get on the move again. My holiday is going to be a mix of resting by the pool or on the beach as well as a day or two of walking around Venice, with the aid of a crutch.
