Suggested Reading | Spring 2016
15th March 2016
I know a lot of you were disappointed when I stopped my Blog in the Spotlight series, and some readers even mentioned that they missed it in my 2015 reader survey.
I said that I wanted to find another way to share my favourite blogs and post so I thought I would start a new series called “Suggested Reading”. It won’t be a monthly feature but it will feature multiple blogs that I have enjoyed recently (or in some cases, for many years).
Some might say I’m bias as the author happens to be my best friend, but I genuinely do think Winberry Crumble is an amazing food blog.
Rebecca (or Becky, as I have called her for many years) has studied both food and journalism at university, so really she has the perfect background for food blogging. She creates amazing recipes, mainly for cakes and biscuits, and has a really handy “Basics” section on her site which features simple recipes for your baking basics.
I don’t actually remember how I discovered Anca’s blog, although I’m guessing it had something to do with the fabulous city we both live in – Liverpool.
I’ve met Anca a few times now and she is such a lovely person to talk to. I also really love reading her blog as she frequently posts about Liverpool and the surrounding area, and always provides me with inspiration for places to visit and things to do on the weekends.
I started reading Elena’s blog many, many years ago, and it’s still one of my favourites to read.
Elena lives in Norway but shares my passion for travel. She writes beautiful posts about her adventures and shares some incredible photos which always leave me wanting to run away and hop on a place to somewhere new.
Visit At Midnight here.
By Her Mirror
By Her Mirror was a recent discovery of mine. I saw another blogger had recommended Anna’s blog to her readers, so I took a look and instantly fell in love.
Anna write about life, and also shares beautiful videos that she creates which are so relaxing and enjoyable to watch. I feel like I can relate to Anna so much which is why I keep returning to her blog time and time again. Also, her Instagram is pretty stunning.
Becca’s blog, Jovers, is a blog that I feel like I’ve been reading for a long time, although I’m not sure quite how long.
Jovers is a personal blog, and as with By Her Mirror, I feel like I can really relate to the posts that Becca shares. She recently got married and I thoroughly enjoyed reading all of her posts about her wedding. Honestly, I’m not usually a fan of weddings but Becca’s just seemed so personal and meaningful.
