Small town hero

In England, Royal Mail, who deliver the post, are useless. On a good day they don’t deliver your mail until 3pm, and your post is normally 2 weeks late so you don’t care when what ever your expecting does arrive anyway.
Today was my chance to have a lie in. I was suppose to have one yesterday but I got a call from work asking if I could come in early to cover someone’s shift. Put it this way, I am never ever answering my phone again. Back to the story at hand, I was trying to have a lie in but I was woken at 8am by the postman trying to deliver a parcel.
I didn’t realise it was the postman because obviously I don’t expect them so early, so I rolled over and went back to sleep. He was only trying to deliver something my dad had ordered for the shower. When I finally decided to get up I found that a letter had been delivered for me. It was from university and it had my final grades for the year in.
I passed my first year of university with a 1st in four of the modules and a 2:1 in one of the modules!! I’m pretty sure that overall this means I have achieved a 1st in my first year of uni. Whey! I couldn’t be happier.
Last Tuesday Tyrone met me from work and after a quick changes of clothes we went out to our local Indian restaurant. We must be becoming regulars in there now because we get free drinks after our meal. 😛 We were the only customers in there that night (it was a really hot day) so the waiters were glad to see us. They even made Tyrone a special dish which was made to his level of spice. I’m pretty boring when it comes to spicy food so I normally order something creamy and mild like a korma or a tikka masala.
On Wednesday I went to the doctors to get some more acne cream. He ended up prescribing me some really expensive cream to treat it as well as some antibiotics. I can’t actually take the antibiotics as they don’t go well with some other medication I am on. You probably can’t tell from any pictures of me that I actually have horrendous acne that has spread on to my shoulders, but that’s because I have good make-up. Oh, and Photoshop is always handy. It really gets me down as I have been suffering with it for so long. If anyone has any natural remedies or tips for getting rid of it I would love you forever haha!
I’ve been busy work, as usual, but I got paid a few weeks ago. Having money to spend they I have earned myself feels so good. My mum took me shopping so that I could treat myself to some new clothes. Here are some photos to keep you occupied.
This dress if from Top Shop and I absolutely adore it. It fits me perfectly and looks great with or without leggings.
Both the jumper and trousers are from H&M. These two pictures were taken on the same day when there was way too much light coming in my room, even with the curtains closed. I chopped my head off on these pictures because I had just finished work and my make-up made my face look like it had melted. You can see my sexy (joke) work uniform on the left.
Both the top and trousers are also from H&M. I took this picture a few days a go when my make-up actually looked presentable. I actually dyed my hair the other day. It’s suppose to be golden honey but I don’t think you can tell much difference really. It does look lighter in the top two pictures.
I also bought some shoes. They are kind of like fake Toms but a lot cheaper than (£7.99!). I love the style but I would never pay for real Toms as I think they are a little overpriced. I suppose you could say that about Converse but at least they are super comfortable (Toms rub like hell, especially when you have narrow feet like me) and they last for years and years.
I also ordered one of the books on my reading list for my second year of uni. You are probably thinking it looks a little boring. I have to agree. It’s an interesting topic but this book just makes it seem boring.
