Mini chocolate-coated baked doughnuts

I’ve been wanting to make doughnuts for a while, but I was a bit concerned about frying them as I’m not very confident in the kitchen. I searched the web (mainly Pinterest) and found this straight forward recipe on the Lakeland website for baked doughnuts.
While I stuck to the recipe I did make one alteration. I don’t have a doughnut mould so I used a muffin tin and make bun shaped doughnuts without the hole.
I used enough ingredients to make 12 but as I used a muffin tin it only made 9. If I were making these again I would use the recipe for 36 (because I’m a pig!) or prehaps buy a doughnut mould so I could make a proper ring shape.
I had a helper in the kitchen who wanted the job of adding the chocolate. We started by dipping the doughnuts into the chocolate, but ended up dribbling the left over chocolate on top of them. As you can see, it got messy!
One thing you should know about me is that when it comes to food I’m not big on presentation. Sure, I love it when food looks pretty, but these tasted great so I’m not going to worry too much. 🙂 They’ve already been eaten!

EDIT: I made more doughnuts on Saturday! I added sprinkles and they look like miniature Krispy Kremes
