30th December 2014
I had a wonderful Christmas at home this year, and I loved spending time with my friends and family. I was very fortunate to receive some wonderful gifts. Everyone was so thoughtful, and clearly put a lot of thought into each gift. My friends and family know me very well.
I’m never sure if people like reading posts like these. Personally, I enjoy looking at what people have been given for Christmas as it’s a great source of gift inspiration ready for next year. Also, I’m a nosey person!
My parents gave me some money to buy what ever I wanted with it, but they did get me some other little gifts. They also bought me a facial cleansing brush, like the Clarisonic but more affordable. I honestly don’t know why you’d pay £200 for a cleansing brush as the one I have (MySpa) works wonders. I’ve been using it for less than a week and I’m already seeing great results.
My brother Dean bought me another subscription to National Geographic Magazine for the year and gave me some iTunes gift cards. My brother Adam bought me this map of the world umbrella (everyone knows I like maps!). It’s also the perfect size to act as a walking stick when I need it. Clever. 😛
Tyrone spoilt me with lots of Who related treats, including a Quadrophenia parka style dressing gown, a picture disk vinyl of Who Are You and some Who coasters. He also gave me Mario Galaxy 2, a Lego Joker keyring and a necklace.
My friend Becky remember that I wanted to start sewing more, and she gave me a well stocked sewing box along with some fabrics and buttons. My mum also gave me a book which teaches you lots of different sewing techniques and includes some project ideas. Yesterday I purchased a mini sewing machine (my birthday present) so I’m all set to make something. Wish me luck.
Other gifts I received include a waffle maker, a mini Bat-Signal light, tonnes of Soap and Glory goodies and a few books from Paperchase. In fact, most of my presents are still back in Shropshire because I couldn’t carry everything on the train. I’m very grateful that my family has offered to bring up some of these presents when they visit the city next weekend.
If you celebrate Christmas, what did you receive? Feel free to leave me links to your Christmas posts in the comments.
