Since leaving my full-time job I’ve obviously been spending a lot of time at home, and therefore I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about my home and what I want to do with it; how I want it to look, how I want it to feel, how I want it to be used.

It’s all very overwhelming.

A little house update

I thought I would take a little break from my New York travel diary series and write about something else for a change (thanks for the idea, Amy!).

So, today I’m going to talk about my house, and how we’re getting on with the DIY side of things.

It’s been around 4 months since we moved into the house we bought on the Wirral, and to be honest, it still looks very much like it did the day we moved in!

10 things I love about my new home

It’s been a good few months since I moved into my house, and I think we’ve settled pretty quickly. We are finally putting art work on the walls, working on the garden, and just making it as homely as possible.

Today I thought I would talk about a few of my favourite things about my new home. Some are obvious; the type of things you expect someone who has lived in a flat for many years to say. And so are, well, a bit obscure, but I’ll try and explain my madness!
