Blogger Event at The Body Shop (Liverpool One)

6th November 2014

The Body Shop Liverpool One

On Tuesday I attended a blogger event at The Body Shop in Liverpool One. Liverpool based bloggers were invited along to view their new seasonal range and Christmas gifts.

On arrival I was greeted by the lovely staff and offered free champagne and nibbles. They certainly know the way to a blogger’s heart. πŸ˜‰

First of all I had a hand massage using some of their almond hand care products, which smelt gorgeous! I was particularly fond of the nail and cuticle oil.

I asked the assistant who gave my hand massage about skin products that might help with my acne. She suggested the tea tree and aloe vera products for blemish prone and sensitive skin. I was then able to sample these products when another assistant gave me a facial. I felt really pampered. πŸ˜›

Another member of staff showed me the seasonal products which included scents such as glazed apple, frosted cranberry and vanilla brulee. Believe me, by the time I left I smelt fabulous!

I ended up treating myself to a few products. I couldn’t resist the great offer that they had for us bloggers (spend Β£30 and get it for Β£15!). Here’s what I purchased.

The Body Shop products

Aloe Gentle Facial Wash, Aloe Soothing Night Cream, Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner and Tea Tree Skin Cleaning Foaming Cleanser. I also chose to sign up for The Body Shop’s loyalty card, which is Β£5 and lasts for a year but comes with many perks, including a pot of body butter when you sign up, 10% off purchases, a present in your birthday month and many more.

Overall I had a lovely evening, and it really cheered me up being pampered after having a pretty rubbish day. It’s a shame that more bloggers didn’t turn up (less than 10 overall) but it was certainly to our advantage as we were able to have lots of treatments and receive one-to-one advice. I can’t wait to give all my products a try, but so I’m a big fan!

Thanks for a wonderful evening ladies!

I attended this event for freeΒ courtesy of The Body Shop. I wasn’t asked to write this review, but I enjoyed myself so much I thought I would. All opinions are my own and all purchases were made with my own money.

Enjoyed this post? Why not share it...

  1. Melissa

The bodyshop always have lovely products, love the photos of the event. Glad to hear that you had a wonderful time πŸ™‚

I had never really tried any of their products before the event to be honest. I always thought they were too expensive but really they’re not. I think I’ve been converted! πŸ™‚

  2. I always really want to like the body shop stuff, but I struggle so much, it doesn’t help that I really don’t like flowery scents and my skin is basically a dickhead.
But the Champagne? I could get on that easily πŸ™‚

I’m a sucker for fruity smells haha! But the Aloe Vera products have almost no smell at all. Plus it’s good for dickhead skin. πŸ˜‰ I’m in the same boat.

  3. Great post. I also attended the event, was really nice being pampered. I also couldn’t resist buying things at the end. I think I was the last one to leave! It would have been nice to have got to know everyone there, that was the only thing I think was missing. I don’t know any other local bloggers and would have been nice to finally get to know some πŸ™‚ xx

I normally go to events in Manchester just because there are barely ever any in Liverpool, so I know more Manchester bloggers. I’m a pretty shy person too which doesn’t help haha! But yeah, there a few of us Liverpool based bloggers. πŸ™‚

      • I have only been to events in Birmingham, which is definitely a distance for me to travel, so it was nice to go to one a lot nearer. Well it is great to finally know a blogger who is nearer to me πŸ™‚ Hopefully get to meet you at another local event some time soon xx

  4. Didn’t know it was an event, otherwise I’d have turned up! A friend of mine used to work there and she got me some of their vitamin E moisturiser at it was amazing. I’ve drifted away from Body shop and onto Lancome because their gel moisturisers are better for the conditions I work under, but they do lovely fragrances, and their tea tree oil is spot on!

Have you visited their outlet store in Cheshire Oaks? If you buy 4 things you get 40% off. Its great! Glad you had a great evening!

There is a Facebook group called Liverpool Bloggers. It’s not updated very often but it’s where I found out about the event. I’ll let you know if I hear of any more in the future. πŸ˜‰

Oh wow! I didn’t know they had an outlet store at Cheshire Oaks. Now I really want to go!!
