The current layout is called Great Omega and was coded by me on the 27th of November 2012. The brushes used in this layout are from brusheezy. The social media icons are from designdeck.

Empfire is my main domain and home to my personal blog. I purchased the domain on the 3rd of March 2011. Empfire is hosted by 000webhost. Empfire is a made-up word. It is a combination of the words ‘Empire’ and ‘Fire’ which are the names of two of my favorite songs by the band Kasabian. Originally I was going to purchase the domain name ‘empire-fire’ but it was my friend Becca who suggested that I should combine the two words to give me one.

I originally purchased the domain and set Empfire up as my photoblog. At the time, Imperfect Angel was my main domain. I adopted Imperfect Angel so it never felt like my own website. In 2012 after several problems with IA, I decided to move my main blog and all of the website content to Empfire. I moved my photoblog to photographs.empfire.info.

Before I owned Imperfect Angel I owned a sub-domain called Summer Dream that was closed down without notice by the host.

My web designing days started around 5 years ago when my friend introduced me to Piczo. I made a rubbish website and I left for a while. But over time I kept coming back to Piczo and I kept starting new websites. About 2 years ago I went back to Piczo and I wanted to start a decent site so I started to learn about making graphics on Paint Shop Pro and I learned about coding such as HTML and CSS. My Piczo site started to get busier and my skills started to develop. I got bored of Piczo so I eventually applied for a sub domain. It took some time getting use to using code for everything. It was strange not being able to ‘drag and drop’. After quite of bit of practice, I got the hang of it and I fell in love with designing, even though I wasn’t great at it.
