The Weekend Blog (Vol.49)

It’s still the weekend right? Just about.

This weekend I’ve been at my cousin’s hen party. We all went over to Chester on Saturday for an 80s dance class, followed by a river cruise.

The 80s dancing was great fun and we managed to pull together a pretty awesome routine. We all dressed up in 80s clothes, so there was a lot of neon, glitter and glow sticks.

The river cruise was also a lot of fun. We had barbecue style food and a 90s disco, which meant even more dancing. By the end of the night my hip was killing me, but after a good night sleep I was sorted.

Apart from that, my week has been pretty average, but next week won’t be.

Monday is my viva (a presentation on my dissertation), Tuesday is Manchester, Wednesday is Jeremy Kyle, Friday is home and Sunday is New York!!

Enjoy what’s left of your weekend!

Enjoyed this post? Why not share it...

  1. It sounds like your cousin’s party was a blast with all of the things you did. The 80’s and 90’s disco dance sounds fun! Especially when you even dress and try to mimic the trend of those days :D. I notice not much has changed with the use of neon/glitter/glow sticks, but those moved to EDM. Even though your hip didn’t want to dance, at least you felt much better after sleeping. Good luck and enjoy your week!

  2. So pleased you had a fabulous time at the Hen Party, sounds like a lot of fun! xo

  3. What a busy week. Have fun x

  4. The weekend lasts as long as you want it to, Holly! Now, if only my boss thought the same thing… Sounds like you’ve got a busy week coming up, but you must be SO excited for New York – I’m jealous! xx

  5. All of that sounds like so much fun! I would have loved the 90s river cruise since I was a 90s kid myself. :) Good luck on your presentation. Do the people listening to you get to ask questions about your research? When I did my graduate thesis they were able to do the same and it drove me nuts because it was so nerve wracking!

  6. Your average week also seemed quite fun! I hope you have a great week and have a lot of fun at New York!

  7. I hope you had a great time in Manchester :) Enjoy NYC, can’t wait to see your posts about it (if you do) x
