The Weekend Blog | Off to Norway

I actually don’t know where this week has gone. I’ve been so productive at work and so the days have flown by.

But apart from work I haven’t really been up to anything exciting this week.

I had a doctors appointment on Tuesday which didn’t go as well as I’d hoped. My doctor is going to try and get me a referral back to Oswestry but he wasn’t exactly enthusiastic about it. I’m not getting my hopes up, but if he doesn’t get me the referral then I’m not giving up. I’ll just go to another doctor.

So I was feeling a bit down after that appointment but I sorted myself out by popping to Wetherspoons for a cheap, yet glorious, burger and a pint.

Crappy food to the rescue!

I’ve been feeling quite exhasuted this week, probably because I’ve been so productive at work, so this weekend has been a lazy one.

I did however pop into Liverpool yesterday to pick up some bits and bobs for Norway, including a super cute backpack for my camera (so no more “my camera doesn’t fit in my bag” excuses!) and a jumper because this weather is not filling me with confidence.

I also accidentally stumbled into a bra fitting at the new Victoria’s Secrets in Liverpool which was a pretty amazing experience. I left empty handed because the one bra I wanted was out of stock in my size, but I can’t stop thinking about how bloody comfortable those bras were, so I’ve decided to pop in tomorrow after work to treat myself!

There won’t be a Weekend Blog post next weekend because I’m off to Norway on Friday! I’m so excited because Scandinavia has been high on my travel bucket list for many, many years. And all expenses paid? Hell yeah!

I’m hoping that the weather is good so I can take a load of photos to share with you on the blog because Norway is just stunning.

See you when I get back!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

P.S. I know that looks like a load of money in the photo, but it actually works out as less than £50 in GBP!

Enjoyed this post? Why not share it...

  1. Oh wow! Enjoy your holiday. I’m desperate head back Scandi way, Copenhagen was just wonderful. Hope you get your docs sorted- is there not a place in Liverpool you could get referred too? Enjoy your hol x

Thank you! Copenhagen is somewhere I’d love to visit.

I’m not sure really. I was told Aintree was the best for ortho but clearly not!

  2. Have a fab trip Holly, great that it’s work too.
Regarding Orthopaedic Hospitals why don’t you ask to be referred to Wrightington, that’s where I have been for my Arthritis, have a look http://www.wwl.nhs.uk/hospitals/wrightington/default.aspx

      Thank you!

I just took a look at that hospital and it looks about the same distance from my house that Oswestry is…which leads me wonder further why my doctor seemed to think Oswestry was too far away for me. But thanks for the link! It may come in handy!

Have an amazing time in Norway! I’d really love to go there, so definitely can’t wait to hear all about it when you’re back! It’s so cool that work are paying for you to go.

Good luck getting everything sorted at the doctor’s. That sounds like such a pain.

I need to go for a bra fitting, but I’m always too nervous when it comes down to it. Definitely need to stop guessing sizes and go though!

    Enjoy your holiday!

Thank you! I know, I’m really lucky because if I’d been a year later starting my job I would have missed out on the chance to go!

I’m probably going to write a review of my bra fitting experience so that might be helpful for you. I was dead nervous the first time I had one but they’re not scary at all. In fact, I enjoy them!

  4. WOOOO I am excited for your trip!

Funnily enough I have heard that VS bras are not very comfortable. Maybe they work for you, though! Also a funny fact… they don’t sell them in Australia for some reason. It might have to do with the fact that they don’t have the rights to do so, or something like that. xD Regardless, a well-fitting bra can be such a relief.

You mentioning your camera reminded me that I really don’t take mine around enough. :X I have had it for almost a year and I don’t feel like I have used it much in the past six months. :o

  5. It does look like a lot of money :)) Bra fitting at Victoria’s Secrets sounds great, you should treat yourself. x
