The Weekend Blog

A beautiful sunset in Shropshire

It’s crazy (and sort of depressing) to think that this time next week it will all over. Christmas, that is.

I’ve spent this week at home just relaxing, eating, catching up with friends, and doing a little bit of uni work. Just a little. Probably not enough.

I have received two coursework marks back this week and both were firsts (74% and 76%). One of those piece of coursework just had to be the nightmare GIS (Geographical Information Systems) report that nearly caused me to have a nervous breakdown! I won’t lie; I cried while trying to complete the work. Seems kind of pathetic knowing I got such a good grade, but I guess that’s just how much I care.

If you ever catch me saying that I don’t give a s**t about my degree then I’m probably just trying to hide my stress. I may not care for the subject anymore, but the fact I’m so close to getting a degree is still an amazing accomplishment in my eyes.

But enough about university. I’m suppose to be on a break.

I’m really excited for Christmas this year, although I probably enjoy Christmas Eve more as I get to see all my friends and family, and engage in our tradition of visiting Church before ending the night in the pub.

Have a great weekend!

(The photo above is of the view from my parent’s house of a beautiful sunset on Saturday night.)

Enjoyed this post? Why not share it...

  1. I’m glad to hear that you’re taking it east at home :). At least you’re now done with GIS and hopefully you won’t need to take any class that stressful ever again! There are times when going through classes are nightmares but it’s only temporary :).

    Happy holidays!

Ugh GIS is the worst. I use to like it, but now I’ve done so much of it it drives me mad. But thank you! :)

      Have a lovely Christmas!
