Sun rise light flies

11th August 2012

In my last post I mentioned how I was having problems breathing properly last Saturday night. Well, it happened again on Sunday night, so I decided to get an appointment at the doctors (a task that is easier said than done).

I managed to get an appointment with a nurse. She examined me and told me that the back of my throat looked inflamed and lumpy, so I most probably have a virus. She also said the breathing difficulties might be linked to anxiety issues, and that I should try to relax more before going to sleep.

I still had a few problems the next couple of nights but now things are starting to look better. I’m now sleeping with three pillows rather than two just to make sure I’m giving my neck some extra support.

I’ve fallen in love with a website called Etsy.com. You might have heard of it before, but I hadn’t until I visited Georgina’s photoblog and I saw a necklace which had been custom made for her on this website. I was intrigued and so I took a look at Etsy.com for myself. Prehaps it wasn’t the best of ideas considering that I am now addicted to the website and I ended up buying an iPod cover from there. This was a very bad idea considering I have no money. But it is such a cute cover. Well, it’s a sticker, for the front and back, but my iPod is going to look like R2-D2. Jealous? Haha. 😛

Yesterday I went to the Shrewsbury Flower Show with my mum and my nan. I went for the first time last year and I got to meet the chef Gino D’Acampo, who I got a pictures with. This year it was the turn of the chef James Martin, who doesn’t interest me, but my nan is in love with him! She was a bit disappointed though and said he wasn’t as good as he was on TV. She also said that she now preferred Gino! I picked up some good cooking tips and I had a nice look around the show, although flowers don’t really interest me. Tyrone was there too with St John Ambulance, so I started spying on him hehe! When I did eventually get chance to speak to him I had half a pint of cider in my hand which made him a bit jealous. 😀

Remember I said I get my exam results on Thursday? Well, I have just found out that I can find out whether I have a place at Liverpool John Moores university from 7:30am on Thursday. I can go on to my application tracker and it will say if I have my place or not. How scary is that??!! I will definitely be getting up early to find out. And if I get a place at the university I will let you all know.

It will be the earliest blog post I have ever wrote. 🙂

Enjoyed this post? Why not share it...

  1. Ohmy. I hope you feel better soon!

I love Etsy – it’s a little expensive, sometimes. Still, the handmade items always manage to lure me in 😛

Gino D’Acampo is a fitty – I used to watch Ready Steady Cook just for him. Ahem.

Omg, good luck with getting into your university! I remember that day for me as well – it was so nerve wracking D:

  2. Cat

Oh no, that sucks that the breathing problems returned 🙁 I hope you feel better soon!

Etsy has a lot of cute stuff! I don’t use it that much, but I have bought from a few sellers. You have to be careful sometimes though. Some Etsy sellers lie about being handmade and are actually reselling items at higher prices =/

Ooh, that flower show sounds fun. I’m not that interested in flowers, but I love picking up new cooking tips.

I hope you get the results you want! Good luck!

  3. That would be so scary to have breathing problems. I hope that it goes away. I hope the nurse was able to give you something to help the virus go away.
