My name is Holly and I’m a 19 year old university student from England.
I’m currently studying Geography BSc at a university in Liverpool, which means I have left the small town in Shropshire where I grew up and now I live in the big city. I live about a 10 minute walk away from the world famous Cavern Club!
From head to toe; I have brown hair that sits just below my shoulders, blue eyes, straight teeth and no piercings. I’m 5 foot 5 (ish) and naturally skinny. There’s no dieting secrets here.
I have CDH and I have had 6 operations to try and correct it, including a Femoral Osteotomy and a Pelvic Osteotomy. I have some pretty big scars on my hip.
My friends and family mean a hell of a lot to me. Tyrone is my partner in crime. We have been dating since we were 15 years old. He’s my rock and he’s always there for me.
One of things in life that I live for is travelling. I have to thank my parents for my interest in travelling as we have been visiting places all over the world since I was 3 years old. I’ve seen the Pyramids at Giza, The Valley of the Kings, Petra, the Colosseum and the Leaning Tower of Pisa, just to name a few places.
I love to learn. Unfortunately I want to learn a lot more than my brain can manage. As well as geography I enjoy biology and Egyptology. I’d also like to learn another language, such as Portuguese. I have a subscription to National Geographic magazine and I usually take the latest issue with me where ever I go in an attempt to look intelligent.
I enjoy listening to music. My love for older bands, like The Police, The Who and Genesis, is the result of listening to my dad’s music collection. I appreciate any band that writes their own music and plays their own songs. I don’t like the majority of music that is produced today but I am a huge fan of Kasabian, who I was fortunate enough to see live on the 8th of June 2011.
When I turned 18 I started collecting records and I finally got a record player for Christmas that year. I own every album by The Police on vinyl, a rare picture disk of Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon and loads of other classics. I also collect comics and anything with Harley Quinn on it (a very expensive bad habit of mine!).
Although I don’t seem to have watched many films, I do enjoy taking the time to watch a decent film. Especially those made by Christopher Nolan. In 2008 I saw The Dark Knight at the cinema 4 times; 2 of these times were on consecutive days. I was obsessed with the film and I know it pretty much line by line. It still remains my favorite film. The Joker is my superhero.
