Blogger meet up Liverpool

This weekend I was fortunate enough to attend yet another blogger meet up in Liverpool. It’s funny how you wait months/years for a blogger event in Liverpool and suddenly two pop up in the space of a couple of weeks.

I was grateful when Emma messaged me to ask if I would like to meet her, Asbeena and Bethan before the event for something to drink at Central Perk. I was grateful because I had literally no idea where Kabinett was, and if I had gone on my own I probably would have walked past it because it’s so tucked away. At Central Perk we also met up with Emma, Hannah and Tasha (I hope I’ve remembered everyone!).

We arrived at the venue and received our goodie bags. Not one, not two, but three goodie bags! I had aching arms the following day after carrying it all back to my flat.

Many of the bloggers were trying the cocktails but I stuck to pop as I was on the pain killers that day. Plus, the cocktails were a bit to pricey for my budget. However, I did enjoy the cupcakes that were provided by Hello And Indulge.

The event ended with a raffle and I think most of us won prizes because there were so many. My ticket was pulled out first and so when I went over to pick I chose some shampoo and protection cream. Yes, it’s shampoo that’s approved for babies, and admittedly I didn’t realise until I got it home (Forgive me! It was dark in there!), but you never know, it might help my problematic scalp!

There was a whole bunch of great prizes that had been donated, such as gift vouchers for restaurants and a secret tour of Liverpool. I’m kind of gutted I didn’t realise they were there! However, all the proceeds went to charity, which is always great news.

It was great to meet new bloggers, and to see some familiar faces. I kind of wish there had been like a formal introduction to each other or something because there was so many people I didn’t get to speak to. I think my anxiety got the better of me at time and so I was pretty quiet, however the girls that I did speak to made me feel quite welcome.

So here are just some of the products in the goodie bag. I say ‘some’ because admittedly I ate most of the food products immediately. I did take some pictures on Saturday of them after the event but they turned out rubbish, but I’ve made sure to link everything anyway.

  1. Wow! I’ve just read about the event on Katy’s blog, and she said the goodie bags were good, but they’re amazing! I’d never heard of Kabinett, it seems a strange place to put a wine bar, but then I guess there are loads of students up there! It sounds like a really great day, though a formal introduction would have been very useful I’m sure! It’s a shame you couldn’t try the cocktails, hope the pain is better now x

I’m constantly discovering new places in Liverpool. I never really go up to that end of the city (by the cathedrals) because I live quite a walk away and those hills are killers!

But yeah, those goodie bags were incredible. I’m still trying to find places for everything!

  2. What a great event, looks like you had a great time x

  3. Great post Holly! Sorry I didn’t get to speak to you more πŸ™ It would be great to meet up again in the future, as I didn’t realise that you’re from Shropshire and studying in Liverpool too like me! πŸ™‚
