New Brighton in photographs
28th July 2014
Sometimes I have to pinch myself. I can’t believe that I actually live in the city that I dreamed of moving to all through my teenage years. Liverpool is a beautiful city, and this photograph, taken from New Brighton, reminds me of just how much I have in this wonderful city.
But enough of the sentimental stuff. Today I’m going to be sharing photographs from our recent trip to New Brighton.
New Brighton is a small seaside resort located on the Wirral Peninsula. We caught the Merseyrail from Moorfields station and took the Wirral Line to New Brighton.
To be honest, there isn’t a lot to do at New Brighton, compared to places nearby like Southport. But I was happy to find that the sea was closer to the land, and so I got my chance to have a paddle in the sea. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the sand was so soft, just like you’d expect abroad, and the sea was warmer than it was in Italy when I went in May.
I’m lucky to have a man who is willing to take photographs of me messing about in the sea. Thanks Ty!
And then the sun came out from behind a cloud.
I made up a picnic for us which we ate by the small marina at New Brighton. Picnics make days out really cheap. It’s a great student tip.
This ship is an art installation made from wood.

On Friday [Edit: Wednesday] I will be sharing my photographs from when the Giants came to Liverpool, so stay tuned.
