Lido di Jesolo in photographs

9th June 2014

Lido di Jesolo is the name of the area we stayed in while in Italy. It’s not far from Venice at all. Basically it’s a long stretch of beach with lots of tiny hotels situated along it. Our hotel was one of these, and as I mentioned in my post on Venice, it wasn’t fantastic. The location was perhaps its most redeeming feature. There are lots of shops but most of them are very similar, selling souvenirs and clothes.

This was the view from our second room. We didn’t pay for a sea view so we were happy to be upgraded for free.

Ty caught me off guard. I was looking at sand grains like the good geographer I am.

We didn’t really take too many pictures in Lido di Jesolo. Although we spent most of our time there, because of my leg we didn’t do that much exploring. We sat on the beach all day every day. It was so relaxing and we both got good sun tans. So yeah, no bikini pictures.
If you haven’t already seen the photographs from Venice but would like to, you can see them here.

The beach looks nice there! I think relaxing vacations are nice :) I’m ok with sight seeing too, but I prefer to take vacations to get away and just take it easy!

Yeah, it was nice to have both a mixture of sight seeing and resting. I think too much time walking around would eventually annoy me. It’s always good to put your feet up. :)

  2. Ahhh, what a lvoely view you managed to get. And for free! Yay for no extra costs.

You’re making me really excited for my own holiday. I can practically feel the sun on my skin, the sunscreen itching to be slathered on and the sand between my toes.

I think I might go to Italy for my next holiday. I’ve only ever been to Rome, but I would love to visit Venice. You’ll have to let me know all the good places to eat/see if I do get to go :D

    • Hehe, I think the build up to going on holiday is the best bit. :)

You really should go to Venice. I want to go back already. Will do. ;) Although most places in Italy have amazing food.

  3. What a gorgeous view! I was iffy about going to Italy (It’s cliche, and wasn’t sure if it would live up to the hype. It’s also more expensive than my other destinations) but it looks like the view is worth the money. The water looks beautiful! Did you take a dip?

I always thought Italy was expensive too, but I managed to get a last minute deal and it only cost £350 for a week each for the hotel, flights, transfers and two meals a day!

I did take a dip in the sea but not the pool. The sea was lovely though, and very clean.
