Why I didn't move home after university

I’m not easily influenced by bloggers into buying beauty products or clothes, but books? Oh, that’s a different story!

I have no idea why but I only have to see a book in a flat lay on Instagram and I instantly want to know more about it. I’ve ended up purchasing quite a few books that have been popular on social media and highly recommended by fellow bloggers.

Mailbox by Nancy Freund book review

20 Something Bloggers gave members the chance to review a book, so I said yes for two reasons. 1) I needed something to read other than geography related books and 2) I saw the words “New York”.

The author, Nancy Freund, kindly sent me a free advance reader copy for me to read and review it. As always, my opinions are my own.

The book is set in 1976 in the US, and centres on a 10 year old named Sandy and follows her life up until she turns 13. The book is actually a composition of short stories and memories that she has wrote down on her father’s typewriter as an aspiring writer.

Reading Habits

Reading Habits

A big thank you to Mutay for the tag! Here are my answers to some questions on reading habits.

Do you have a certain place at home for reading?

Usually I read in bed. Sometimes I read in the living room but my bed is more comfortable than the sofa.

Bookmark or random piece of paper?

I read on a Kindle – the greatest bookmark of all! But when I do read a physical book I always use a random piece of paper, or what ever happens to be lying around.

Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop after a chapter or certain number of pages?

I can just stop. Mid-page or mid-chapter.
