Blog in the Spotlight (June) – Hey Georgie

20th June 2014

Welcome to the first post in the series Blog in the Spotlight. For more information about this series, please read this post.

This month I have decided to feature Georgie’s blog, Hey Georgie.

I’ve been reading Georgie’s blog for quite a few years. In fact, her blog was one of the first that I stumbled upon when I began writing a blog myself. She became such an inspiration for me, and all I wanted was to be able to write a blog as well as she did (and still does!). Georgie writes a number of entertaining features, including 2 minutes and 40 seconds and Fashion Friday. Personally, I find it difficult to write interesting blog posts about my personal life, but Georgie manages to continuously write posts that enjoy reading. I always look forward to reading her posts.

As well as writing fantastic blog posts, Georgie is a super talented website developer, and her current layout is clear evidence of this. Isn’t it pretty?! She has always been there to help us fellow bloggers and have-a-go developers, both on a personal level and through her tutorials (now avaliale at tuts.by.georgie.nu). Believe me, she’s got me out of a few sticky situations, especially when it comes to WordPress. πŸ˜‰

I’m sorry to all of you who thought I was going to write about a blog that you might not have heard about before, but I thought my first Blog in the Spotlight post deserved to go to Georgie!

I suppose this is my way of saying ‘thank you’. I’m sure I’m not the only one in the blogging world who appreciates your hard work Georgie. πŸ™‚

Enjoyed this post? Why not share it...

  1. I have to agree with you! I used to read and comment on Georgie’s site all the time. I haven’t commented in a while (which I feel very guilty for!) but Georgie’s site is probably what stopped me making awful “graphics” and writing blogs, and her layouts are always super cute!

I’m honestly not surprised Georgie got #1. :p She tells a story well and has this way of making even the blandest things seem like really interesting ones — it’s not something many people can do.

I also admire how helpful she is. πŸ˜€

    She’s pretty amazing.

  3. Cseline

Georgie is one of my favorite bloggers in this community. She is so talented and smart, also very helpful. I also have problems with WordPress and their risky PHPs and stuff–coincidentally, I stumbled along her tutorials and it helped me so much.

    She’s such an angel. πŸ™‚

  4. She’s so sweet and I love reading her blogs too! ^_^ Congrats to her!

  5. I totally agree with you, Holly
Georgie’s blog was the first one I read when I started my own journey as a blogger! She really is an inspiration!
